Retirement / 403(b) plan

A 403(b) plan, also known as a tax-sheltered annuity (TSA) plan, is a retirement plan for employees of public schools, employees of certain tax-exempt organizations and certain ministers. The features of the 403(b) plan are very similar to the 401(k) plan.

Great American Plan Administrators, Inc. (GAPA) is the third party administrator for Rockwall ISD's 403(b) plan.

For general information regarding participation in a 403b program, you can contact GAPA by visiting their website at  www.gaplandata.com.  For specific information including investment options, limitations on contributions, transfers, loans and distributions, or any other technical information regarding 403b programs, please contact your financial advisor for details

Employees may start/stop/change a 403(b) plan at any time. All paperwork must be completed and GAPA on or before the 10th of the month in order to effect a salary reduction for that month. All paperwork not completed and delivered to GAPA by the 10th  will be included in the next available months payroll adjustments. Solicitors will not be allowed to make presentations to district personnel on campus. A district employee may only meet with a Solicitor off campus. A Solicitor will not represent himself/herself as a direct agent or sole provider of annuities/mutual funds for the District. Pursuant to Art. 6228a-5, Texas Civil Statutes, Solicitors may only offer eligible qualified investment products to District employees.
